Carson and I had a mom and son day last Friday because, even though we spend every day together, we don't really get to have good one on one time doing something fun. We are usually running around like chickens with our heads cut off all week, and our weekends are always jam packed with things to do.
We had to run a couple errands first thing after breakfast, but for the most part I tried to let him decide what we were going to do. While we were at Safeway he asked for some noodles, aka chow mien, and who was I to say no? So I went ahead and bought us some Chinese food for lunch, and on the way out, since I had a Starbucks gift card, I bought us each a "coffee". He called his ice cream, even though it was actually vanilla bean with raspberry syrup, and loved it! I had my usual, blended java chip mocha.
When we got back home we played with his angry birds games, watched Lilo & Stitch, played hide and seek, and baked some cookies! He'd been asking me to bake cookies for a few days, so I finally gave in.
I'm thinking we are going to have to start doing this more often! Maybe I should pin some really fun projects to do...
